Lucite Necklaces . Leetie Lovendale

Statement beaded necklaces featuring multiple strands in mostly monochromatic designs. Beads are vintage lucite or acrylic and were originally produced in the 60's, 70's or 80's for retro designers such as Corocraft, Trifari and Avon. Parts are harvested from jewelry district warehouses.

Leetie Lovendale is a jewelry line born of leftovers. In 2004, designer and bead store owner, Heather DeSimone discovered a warehouse which wanted to sell its entire contents of vintage plastic jewelry components. 40,000 pounds of beads, unfinished hoops and geometric flat shapes.  Most were not bead-store-ready. After researching old manufacturing and hand-making techniques used in the 1960s through the 1980s, Heather founded Leetie Lovendale. A line of jewelry was born to make modern for today from vintage lucite parts.
